Ronald McDonald House Charities have announced the establishment of a family vacation retreat home in Lake George Village.

                As a means of expanding their compassionate web of comfort, hope and love to families under stress they have purchased a home on Ottawa Street, formerly owned by Marcia and Howard Krantz, the former Village Attorney.

                Mayor Robert Blais is hosting, “Coffee with the Mayor’ on Wednesday, February 13 at 8:30am at the Holiday Inn, Canada Street, Lake George to gather information and interested partners wishing to assist in this worthwhile endeavor providing sponsorship, in-kind donations, trade skills and other assistance.

                The home dubbed “Krantz Cottage” will support families with sick children offering them an opportunity to build memories and regain their strength to fight illness or begin to restore their spirit after a devastating loss.

                David McAvinney of McAvinney Builders, LLC has offered his services as project manager for the Krantz Cottage renovation project.
