Lake George Village Board has named Dennis Galloway their “Citizen of the Year” for 2019.
Galloway is a long-time member of the Lake George Volunteer Fire Department, a past businessman in the community and an honored member of the Lake George Rotary Club.
Through Mr. Galloway’s efforts and hard work he created the beautiful plantings and “Welcome” signage on Route 9 and 9N at Exit 21. He also designed the Veterans’ Memorial at that site and continuously cares for the entire project.
Galloway made and donated signage to his St. James Episcopal Church and the Ronald McDonald Krantz Vacation Cottage in the Village.
The Village’s award is presented annually to a citizen who contributes to the quality of life of the area through their actions and contributions. Galloway was recently honored by the Lake George Rotary Club as well.
“Denny Galloway is an enigma in our community,” Mayor Blais said. “You never know what he is planning next to make our community a better place to live and visit.”
